This is a tough time for our immigrant neighbors. You might not see it being reported in the news, but ICE is very much present in Baltimore City and the surrounding areas. Thank you for your interest in wanting to help. I am sharing information here on volunteer opportunities, resources, and upcoming trainings. I will continue to share more. See below.
Sign up to volunteer with the Amica Center here. They are looking for volunteers to visit detention centers to inform detainees about their rights, administrative support, translation, and more.
Support Safe City Baltimore's work to help immigrants in Baltimore City here.
CASA's Know Your Rights packet in English and Spanish here. It covers what to do if someone encounters federal agents in various environments.
Sign up to volunteer with Esperanza Center - Catholic Charities of Baltimore here. They are looking for interpreters, administrative support, and pro bono immigration attorneys.
