New Planner for the Northeast & Southeast District
On July 10, 2026, the Baltimore City Dept of Planning welcomed a new community planner for the NE & OSE District, Nzingha Campbell. We thank Maria Smaldone for her service and are sharing her email announcement below.

Subject: New Northeast & Outer Southeast District Planner
Good morning residents and leaders of the Northeast & Outer Southeast District,
Please join me in welcoming the new community planner for the NE & OSE District, Nzingha Campbell, to the Department of Planning! Nzingha has a strong background in urban planning, food policy, and neighborhood engagement. She’ll be onboarding with us over the coming days, but please begin to reach out to her with any questions related to community plans, land use, or zoning, as well as to invite her to neighborhood meetings and events. As of today, I am transitioning out of my role as the community planner for the NE &OSE, and will become the community planner for the Southwest District.
It has been a true pleasure and privilege to serve the communities of the Northeast & Outer Southeast! Please know that I will continue to be a resource for you at the Department of Planning. My contact information will remain the same.
We're excited to have Nzingha join our team, and I have no doubt that she will be a strong partner and advocate for the district's neighborhoods.
